Use this form to request items via interlibrary loan. You must have a valid Old Colony Library Network library card to use this service. Interlibrary loan borrowing is free unless you authorize postage charges and/or loan fees in advance.

Please submit a separate request for each item you want, up to five requests at one time. We will confirm receipt of your request via email within 48 hours and will notify you by email when the item is available for pickup. All requested items must be picked up at and returned to a Quincy library location.

For more information, see Frequently Asked Questions About Interlibrary Loan. You may also contact us at quill@ocln.org or 617-376-1316.

Sometimes libraries will only lend old, fragile, reference or genealogical works for in-library use.
The average cost to return a single item via USPS Library Mail is $3.
If the item you want is not available from a free lender, we will request it from a library that charges a fee up to the amount you agree to pay.
Please provide any other information that may help us to locate this item, such as where you read or heard about it, or the library catalog or bibliography in which you found it.
A minimum of two weeks is usually needed to supply material via Interlibrary Loan.
